Plans by the Etche Ethnic  nation to host an economic summit have reached advanced stages.
This is authoritative.
According to information reaching our news desk, the summit which is being organised under the auspices of Ogbakor Etche is designed to create a template for the economic transformation of the area.
Machy Nwodim, President General of the Ogbakor who is behind the plan is believed to have put together a crack team of experts who are currently working to draw up an effective economic blueprint which would usher in growth and development.
As part of the plan, a skills acquisition scheme which is targeted at unemployed Etche youths is soon to be launched.
A source close to the organisers of the planned summit confirmed to the Port Harcourt Telegraph that the move is intended to put in place a sustainable plan that would keep able bodied youths busy and introduce them to entrepreneurial pursuits in a changing and competitive world.
It is the first time that the Ogbakor Etche would embark on a skills related venture in league with development partners and Etche people living in the diaspora.
