Rivers State Governor,  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has taken a swing at the State Chairman of the PDP, Bro Felix Obuah who heads the State’s sanitation effort.

The Governor chose the opportunity provided by the Redeemed Christian Church of God Holy Ghost Rally which took place at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium to shoot at his erstwhile friend.

Wike said Obuah should go to Belemina Obunge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to learn a few tricks about sanitation management.

It was a low blow, but it would not be the first time.

Wike has been consistent in his verbal attacks against the State Chairman of the PDP who is believed to nurse a gubernatorial ambitio.

Those potshots, insiders in the party allege, suggest that Obuah may never have the back of the governor when the time comes.

Wike had earlier declared that he was still Governor of Rivers State because of the intervention of God.

He noted that God dislodged forces of darkness who were primed to rob the Rivers mandate on March 9, 2019.

Describing himself as  a living testimony of God’s blessing, Governor Wike said the criticisms on his declaration of Rivers State as a Christian State cannot stop him from affirming that reality.

He commended the Redeemed Christian Church of God for their sanitation programme, tagged “Pick A Thrash “.

“If we have all churches embark on sanitation, our State will be cleaner.  We will support this programme financially and we shall donate three vehicles to the Church for the programme”; he said.

Gov. Wike who was obviously impressed by the development  declared the willingness of the State Government to take over logistics for the ongoing sanitation exercise from the Church.

The Pastor in charge of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Belemina Obunge announced that the Second Phase of the Church’s Environmental Sanitation Programme has commenced.
