The newly sworn in Minister of the Niger Delta, Senator Godswill Akpabio says he would take infrastructural development in the region to newer heights. Akpabio took to Twitter to assure the people of the region of his avowed commitment to deal with developmental challenges. “Our most important task as leaders is to engage in meaningful discussion and share ideas that will build the bridge between the struggle of today and the future we will all be proud of”, Akpabio remarked. He said the people of the region expected that government and its agencies would embark on strategies that would alleviate poverty. “I believe the Niger Delta region and its people are looking forward to the alleviation of poverty in their lives and the transformation of infrastructure in the region. “As a Niger Delta person, I will ensure that we leave a legacy that will stand the test of time”
